Connect Google Search Console to Pulsar
Step-by-step tutorial in 3 minutes via Google OAuth. No code required. Get started with your GSC data in a few clicks.
What Pulsar retrieves from GSC
Pulsar synchronises daily the full Search Console data: impressions, clicks, average position, CTR, top queries, top pages, performance by country, device and appearance type (web, image, video, news).
OAuth permissions used: read-only on siteVerification.read and webmasters.read. No modification, no writes on GSC.
The 4 steps to connect GSC
Create the Pulsar project (Settings > Projects > New project), enter the name and the exact URL (with or without www depending on your GSC verification).
Settings > Connected sources > Google Search Console > "Connect a Google account". You are redirected to Google to confirm the read-only permissions.
Pulsar lists all GSC properties your Google admin account has access to. Select the one matching this project.
Pulsar automatically retrieves 16 months of history. Allow 2-5 minutes for the first sync. The data appears in the dashboard.
Common errors and solutions
- No property foundThe connected Google account is not an admin on this property. Check on search.google.com/search-console that the account has "Owner" or "User (full admin)" rights.
- URL mismatchThe Pulsar project URL must exactly match the GSC property (with/without www, http/https). Pulsar performs fuzzy matching but prefers an exact match.
- OAuth token expired after 6 monthsGoogle revokes inactive OAuth tokens after 6 months. Reconnect from Settings > Sources > GSC > "Reconnect".
